About Mrs. Kinlaw (Mrs. K)
Welcome!
My name is Emily Kinlaw and this year will begin my 8th year of teaching special education! I am from Greenville, North Carolina. I am a graduate of Meredith College and East Carolina University. I began teaching in 2009 and have taught in Greenville, Wilmington, and Hampstead. In 2014, I moved to Raleigh and this will be my 3rd year working in Wake County. I have been married to my husband, Matt, for 6 years and we have a dog named Winston. When I'm not at school, I enjoy being outside (especially the beach!), watching sports (UNC and the Panthers!), music, running, health and fitness, and spending time with my family and friends. I am so excited to join Pleasant Grove Elementary School and am looking forward to working with students and parents as a teacher and one of the Girls on the Run Coaches. I am most looking forward to watching students gain self-confidence and realize that learning can in fact be fun!
